Yeah...June 13th, the day I was born. Normally every year, I dread this day, but it isn't too bad so far. It may only be 2pm at the moment that I am typing this, but I still got a full day..ish. My first birthday away from home. Now THAT is a change. I am no longer considered a teenager.

But anywho, the last 2 days before my birthday really cheered me up on this site. I didn't expect ANY of this to happen:
1. I submitted an art work (Death of a loved one) and it rocketed higher than I thought. A LOT higher. Never had that happen in a lifetime.
2. I got a Daily Deviation (Violinist Oil Pastel) which I was extremely happy for and I definitely NEVER expected it. I would LOVE to thank limnides for that. It really made my day.

I considered those to be early birthday presents, judging by the fact that it happened on the 11th and 12th, so it counts.

Lastly, thanks to those who are watching me. I hope you all have a great day. And it doesn't even matter if no one reads this, I'm still happy :D

For some odd reason, I just randomly became obsessed with drawing anything I see which I think would look great as a drawing. Mainly charcoal. Actually, ALL charcoal. I have a charcoal obsession. I am not afraid to admit it: I LOVE CHARCOAL!!!

It's been such a while since I focused on my traditional art. I guess I miss it so much now. I have to make up all the lost time I spent NOT working on my traditional. So if I keep this up, you would be seeing a lot of charcoal works being put up on my page, even if they suck! I might get lazy though since school is starting on Monday for me, which means less time for myself again.

Why couldn't my charcoal obsession kick in 3 weeks ago? Ah...

The News:
So, I was sitting here at home, and I just decided, hey, maybe I'll get a subscription. So...guess what...I did. And while I was at it, I decided to become an Official Beta Tester as well, just to see how it all goes. This gives me enough time to figure out whether or not I'd like to continue subscribing. So far, day one, I haven't come to a conclusion yet, but over time I would. The no ads thing is great though! Haha. The screen looks a tad different. So there goes a plus. And now, I could also do features...and the thumbnails WILL show up! So who thinks I should do a feature? I think maybe I should do that...but who is going to look at them anyway? Not much people. Sadly...but I'm fine with that. Give me another year or two and I believe I could build up more friends and such.

EDIT
I am going to do a feature. I have made up my mind. I posted a thread in the thumbshare forums but you could post some art on here if you want as well, for me to decide on the feature. For more info, go to my thread: forum.deviantart.com/devart/th…

So a couple days ago...
My cat, Cookie, turned one year old. Yay! I am so proud of her! March 30 is her birthday. March 30, 2007. I can't believe I have had her for that long already. It seemed as though it was only a couple months ago when I first got a hold of her. These days are passing by too quickly. I am not quick enough to grasp a hold of what I want. I really wish I took my time to take more photos and videos of her when she was a kitten still. And when I say kitten, I mean like 3 weeks to 7 months old. Around there. Preferably 3 weeks to 3 months...since I got her when she was 3 weeks old...and so tiny. My first ever pet in my life. I am so glad I have her.

Right now...
She is hiding under my bed because she is scared of the giant fitness ball that my older sister bought. It is this 2 feet silver bouncy ball. I'm not so sure of the size, but it is pretty big, you know? She really runs when she sees it. She's really calm though if I hold her with a blanket wrapped around her. It reminds me of when she was a kitten...I miss those days!! I miss it bad!!

As for deviantART...
I am still enjoying every minute of it. Pretty darn wonderful. I just need to upload some more traditional work that I have done or that I have had from the past which I never put up...I also need to take more original photography and stick it on here as well. I'm just waiting...eventually the time will come...

Lately.
As some of you may know, I have been really annoyed of my own art, but I came to a conclusion: well, actually, my friend, Raechael, here on deviantART, started a Photo Adventure List. That can be something that might help. And thank you matt2tb for making another suggestion which I will take into mind as well. Loads of great suggestions. Thanks again. Other than that though, I am going to have to find the time to do all those. Also, I felt as though I have encountered some kind of ''artist's block'' and I need to break free from it. As long as I have my camera with me, I guess I should be fine. Even if I take somewhat lame pictures,  I could always use it as some kind of reference for some of my traditonal or digital works.

If you would like to know.
I'll just throw down this little section about me just in case anyone would like to know anything. So basically, I am 18 years young and I currently attend the Art Institute of California - Sacramento with a major in Graphic Design. I have mainly focused on traditional art for the first 17 years of my life. It wasn't until recently that I looked into working on photography and digital art. I must admit, I have been missing out greatly. During the meantime, the camera I am using is just a Canon EOS Rebel XTi or the 400D. Occasionally, it would be with some regular point and shoots from Sony and Olympus. I am saving up right now to buy some good set of lens. I don't really care for getting a really expensive camera since the one I have now suits what I like already. Besides, with school being so expensive, I need to save my money for my needs, not my wants.  Although getting some cheaper wants would be nice.

Lastly.
I just want to thank those who have been watching me and keeping in contact with me. I really appreciate it. You are all great people and great artisits. Keep up the wonderful works.

I would also like people to go look at my good friend's work. Raechael, which I have mentioned above. She's one of the people making me keep up with the photography. She has no icon yet, she's having difficulties. Haha.
:iconraechaelgutter:
There is also someone else who does the same, but he doesn't have a DA account, which I find is quite lame because he is a great artist. My friend Taylor helps me a lot as well. I am going to make him make an account.

The end and thanks for reading.

ps. i love this small font. :XD:
